Healthy Lifestyle lowers risk of breast cancer even in women with certain high-risk genetic variations

A study published in JAMA Oncology that reviewed the health records of over 40,000 women showed that even women with elevated genetic risk for breast cancer can significantly lower their odds of getting the disease by adopting healthy lifestyle behaviors.  “Genetic risks are not set in stone,” said the senior researcher.  Read about the study here.
