Many of the over 15 million cancer survivors in the United States finish their treatment and wonder:
“What now? Is there a way I can be healthier and reduce my odds of cancer recurrence?”
Usually, these patients get little to no information from their providers about important lifestyle changes that might make a difference. The Anticancer Lifestyle Program (ACLP) was designed to fill that gap with the best evidence available about lifestyle changes that can reduce the odds of cancer recurrence.
But the ACLP is not just for cancer survivors. The course is highly effective as a cancer prevention program by teaching participants how to reduce inflammation and strengthen their immune system with improvements in diet, fitness, stress reduction, and toxin exposure.
“I’ve made many changes during the program, changes in activity levels, outlook, diet and confidence in the future and in my ability to affect my health and well- being. I feel armed with knowledge.”
“The classes have given me back the trust in my body and my choices that I lost through cancer and treatments.”
“What’s been most important to me is the sense of hope. That there are in fact things I can do for myself, to improve my health and the quality of my life moving forward. Each small change I make makes me want to make another one.”
“Everything else has been done TO us. This is something we get to do for ourselves.”
“This class has taken us all beyond being survivors. To me, surviving implies passivity. As a result of this program we have all regained some sense of control.”
