Adding milk to tea cancels its benefits

Adding milk to tea appears to cancel its beneficial health effects.  “Since milk appears to modify the biological activities of tea ingredients, it is likely that the anti-tumour effects of tea could be affected as well,” said one of the study authors.  The proteins in milk appear to reduce the amount of tea catechins, which are thought to be responsible for many of tea’s beneficial effects.
