Breast Cancer and the Environment: What We Know & What You Can Do

Watch Our On-Demand Webinar

It is a shocking fact that one in eight American women (and around one in 800 men) will develop invasive breast cancer at some point during their lives. We are excited to host Sharima Rasanayagam, PhD, Director of Science for Breast Cancer Prevention Partners (BCPP) for this informative webinar on the ways environmental factors influence the development of breast cancer. For 25 years, BCPP has worked to prevent breast cancer by eliminating our exposure to radiation and toxic chemicals (many of which are found in common, everyday products) linked to the disease.

During this webinar, Dr. Rasanayagam will discuss:

  • The link between environmental exposures and breast cancer
  • The exposures that science indicates we should be most concerned about
  • Concrete steps we can take to reduce our individual exposures
  • How we can work to make our communities and environment safer for all
