Diabetes, blood sugar, and cancer

Researchers Giovannucci et al examine the relationship between diabetes, insulin, blood sugar, and cancer.  Possible mechanisms for a direct link between diabetes and cancer include hyperinsulinemia (excess levels of insulin in the blood), hyperglycemia (high blood sugar), and inflammation.  Read the study here.
