Low Vitamin D levels associated with increased risk of all-cause mortality

A study by Gaksch et al, published in the journal PLoS One, observed an association between low Vitamin D levels and increased risk of all-cause mortality.

A study by Schottker et al, published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, also found that low Vitamin D levels were strongly associated with increased risk of all-cause and cause-specific mortality, such as cardiovascular diseases, cancer, and respiratory diseases.
