PERC exposure in dry-cleaning workers and increased risk of bladder cancer

A meta-analysis by Vlaanderen et al found an increased risk of bladder cancer in workers in the dry-cleaning industry. The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) has classified Tetrachloroethylene (PERC), commonly used in dry cleaning, as a probable carcinogen.
