Probiotic use in patients on immunotherapy led to worse outcomes

In a study published in Science, researchers found that while higher dietary fiber was associated with significantly improved progression-free survival in 128 patients on immunotherapy, the most pronounced benefit observed in patients with sufficient dietary fiber intake and no probiotic use. Patients on probiotics had a worse prognosis than those who did not supplement with probiotics, regardless of the amount of fiber in their diet
